How to start the Atkins Diet?
The Atkins diet is NOT bad for you at all. Actually our bodies do better without carbs. Just forget everything that you have been taught and follow the diet as it says in the book. Just be careful with artificial sweeteners.....they are BAD for you. I can only recommend honey which is natural and truvia which is also natural. For breakfast, have eggs and bacon, full fat greek yogurt, or have vegetables with fish or beef. Lunch can be grilled chicken salad with full fat dressings. For supper, have fish or meat with vegetables. Snacks can be cheese and pepperoni, celery with cream cheese, a handful of nuts, vegetables with dip. It will be hard at first to get rid of all carbs because they are soooo addicting. I suggest you take it slowly and just start with a no carb breakfast and then just slowly wean yourself off of carbs over a few weeks. I also suggest you read the book or go to the website for the liberation diet by kevin brown.......really eye opening. I wish you luck and stay healthy
