Is using moth to deter coyotes dangerous for our cat?

We have coyotes moving into our area and on our street. I have a feral rescue cat that even after a year and a half will not come inside. She has a fairly protected sleeping area but I know the coyotes can get into our yard. I read that moth can help keep them away. If I place them along the perimeter of my fence will it be harmful to my cat?
