Shouldnt public schools teach evolution as THEORY?
"Theory " in this context doesn't mean what you imagine. The theory of evolution is the term used to describe scientific thinking on the origin and diversity of life. The "theory of creation" (if you want to play ball ;-) ) is merely the fanciful mumbo-jumbo of religious texts, mixed in with all of the wishful thinking of many millions of religious people throught the world. There is nothing scientific about creationism - it is religious twaddle. I know some religious out there will say "oh but there is disagreement on the details of evolution" to which I will say "Thank goodness for that!" Science is all about argument, enquiry, uncertainty and probability. Religion is about certainty based on nothing more than conjecture and frankly that is not good enough to be taught in any school my child will attend.
