Help me with the past teths!?!? or something like that :D?

The tense is what time it takes place in. There's future tense, present tense, and past tense. In a story, it should happen all in one tense. Not like "As soon as the front door closes I jumped to the radio and tuned it to my favorite radio station, and turned the volume to the max." like someone mentioned in your other question. It should be "As soon as the front door closes, I jump to the radio and tune it to my favorite radio station, and turn the volume to the max." Or "As soon as the front door closed, I jumped to the radio and tuned it to my favorite radio station, and turned the volume to the max." The first takes place in present tense, because the main character is saying it as if it were happening at that very moment, and the second is past tense, because she is saying it like something that had already happened. It depends which tense you want it in, either would be fine for a story.
