What do you think this poem means?

Well, im sure its being referred to the racial topic. The person in it in some kind of a contest, maybe literally or a metaphor. The judges or rather the people who have authority dismiss him because of his racial attribute. Looking at the sun refers to the creator asking the reason how long this discrimination will go.tc
