Is this all normal for a baby boy that is almost 10mo?

He will be 10mo in 10 days and is still fed. He is eating solids, but just starting to tolerate things like cheerios.He is not yet crawling or walking or pulling up. Just today he finally sat himself up in the crib. He is not really making good speech sounds. He does make lots noises, but they really don't seem to be vowel consonant combinations. He hasn't said da da or ma ma really (once or twice it sounded a bit like it) He is very social and interacts well with people and other babies. He is a very happy baby and rarely if ever cries. He plays VERY well by himself and seems very content. He doesn't self feed although I've seen him use the pincher grasp and although we have been trying the sippy cup for months, he doesn't seem to want to drink. I'd love to hear some of your ideas on this. Normally he wouldn't go to the doctor again until his 12mo shots, and I don't want to be the paranoid mom that bugs the doctor...help!
