Good hair straighteners?

I have a perm and my hair when its dry is very poofy lol and right now i dont want another perm yet so i wanna straighten my hair for a while. Anyone know of a straightener under $100 that will work good on my hair. I heard of chi but afraid to take the risk and get it because i heard it breaks easily. Hopefully someone can help me :)
